Joby grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and currently resides in Seattle, Washington. His work takes on whimsical color schemes that are sure to make you smile.
Joby completed undergraduate work at Mount Mercy College in the area of elementary and early childhood education. He went on to obtain a masters degree from the University of Northern Iowa in Elementary Reading and Language Arts. Today, Joby teaches elementary school in the Seattle areaby day and creates fused glass bynight.

All of the fused glass pieces are made with COE 96 fusing glass and fired in a digitally controlled kiln to ensure proper annealing for durability.
